Citation of Engr. Aramide M. Adeyoye, MNSE
ENGINEER ARAMIDE M ADEYOYE, (MNSE) was born on the 18th of May 1967 in Lagos, attended Yewande Memorial Nursery Primary School, Surulere, Lagos and Methodist Girls’s High School Yaba, Lagos for her primary and secondary education respectively. She gained admission into the department of Civil Engineering, University of Lagos in 1982 through the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board Examination (J.A.M.B) after emerging as the best overall female candidate in the country for that year having attained an overall score of 321. In addition, she was also offered the Gulf Oil Corporation Company (GOCON) now Chevron Oil Corporation Scholarship from 1982 – 1987, where she graduated with a Second Class Honors (Upper Division).
Aramide began her career inclusive of the National Youth Service (N.Y.S.C) with the foremost construction company in Nigeria – Julius Berger Nigeria PLC in 1987 where her love, consistency and passion for the profession saw her work there till August 2019. Her doggedness, diligence, and commitment to work while there, subsequently spurred the firm on in deciding to employ and retain more female engineers where she consistently encouraged upcoming ones to excel. A trail blazer, she rose to the post of a Project Co-ordinator/Management Staff in the company’s region west division of operation in July 2018.
In July 2016, she was appointed as a project co-ordinator to oversee the construction of the new Latter Rain Assembly Church Complex which is near completion. She served in a similar capacity in February 2019 as Chair of the Committee on demolition of the old and design of new school block of Methodist Girl’s High School Yaba.
She was recently appointed in August 2019 as the Special Adviser on Works & Infrastructure to His Excellency, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Engineer Adeyoye is a versatile engineer with proven contracting, procurement, practical field construction/supervision and project management expertise for over 30 years having had the privilege of being involved in the design, supervision, construction and contract administration of projects centered around provision of buildings, estate infrastructure, highways, roads and bridges in the Lagos Area in the last three decades. Notable amongst some of the projects in which she was involved include;

(ii) Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge
(iii) Adeola Odeku Road
(iii) Bourdillon+Awolowo Road
(iv) Marwa Gardens Estate Roads, Ikeja
(iv) Lagos-Badagry Expressway Lot 1
(v) Rehabilitation of Gaskiya-Sari Iganmu Road
(vi) Apapa Central Business District Roads
(vii) Numerous Pedestrian Bridges
(viii) Several private residential development, to mention just a few.
She is a member of the following Professional Bodies;
1. Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE)
2. Association of Professional Women Engineers (APWEN)
3. Chartered Institute of Arbitrators of Nigeria (CIArb)
4. Institute of Management Consultants(IMC)
Aramide, a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants is also a professionally registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). She has attended several training conferences home and abroad, and is an alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School having bagged a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the institution in 2005.
Engineer Adeyoye is from Owu-Ikosi, Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, Epe, Lagos.
She is happily married to Engr. Johnson Adeyoye and they are blessed with two children.
